This control detects air flow on the absence of air flow in ducts, responding only to velocity of air movement. The one piece stainless steel paddle may be trimmed, if needed. The control is supplied with mounting plate gasket. Range adjusting screw permits field adjustment of flow rate setting.
The new style AFS-100 Sail Switch has a spring return arrangement that permits use of the switch in horizontal, up flow or down flow applications. The return spring may be readily disconnected for those applications requiring low velocity "on" operation. It is recommended in these cases that the sail switch be mounted with the sail hanging down into the air stream or in a horizontal position. Internal switch is UL and CSA approved for 5 Amp 125 VAC or 3 Amp 250 VAC.
